Here I’m going to tell you the recipe of easy keema with peas. You can cook easily in stove or in your slow cooker. You can serve it with pilau rice. it is easy to prepare, super tasty and equally versatile. Keema is nothing it is a minced meat. Keema matar or keema pea is mostly famous in Indian and Pakistani peoples. It is very delicious. it is specially good with flatbreads, naan, or chapati. For something more substantial, when you don’t want to cook rice and don’t have any flatbreads, add some waxy potatoes just before cooking at high pressure. Don’t be worried about the long list of spices. It’s just a case of assembling them. This time we received a lot of mince. possibly a little too much. It wasn’t long before i found myself lost for what to do with it all.

  • Olive oil cooking spray
  • Coriander leaves to garnish
  • 1 small cinnamon stick
  • 1 chicken or beef stock cube crumbled
  • 2 cups (260 g) frozen peas
  • 450 g lean beef mince lamb
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • 2 tbsp mild curry powder, or hot if you like it spicy
  • 4 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 onions peeled and finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic (extra)
  • 1 chicken or beef stock cube crumbled
  • 2 chillies sliced, garnish
  • 1 cup (250 ml) passata tomato puree
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • Salt and pepper to season

How To Make


  1. Take a pan and add the onions , beef ,curry powder and salt and mix it well breaking up the ground beef with a wooden spoon.
  2. Add ginger and garlic and brown about 5 minutes .i always use fresh garlic.
  3. Stir in the stock cube and then add tomatoes and then mix it well . cover and cook for 20 minutes .
  4. After 20 minutes uncover and add peas ( matar) and further cook for 10 – 15 minutes until peas are tender.
  5. Now you can add salt, pepper , sliced green chillies , and then add fresh coriander leaves before serving put some lemon slices on the side.
